dadda? is a multimedia exhibition by Mason Rose examining the emotional and social realities of single fatherhood through photography, film, installation, and personal testimony.
Developed through portraits and conversations with single fathers, the project considers experiences that are often overlooked, simplified, or kept private. Rather than attempting to define what makes a good father, dadda? creates space for the contradictions within single fatherhood. For presence and absence. Confidence and doubt. Love and failure.
This website accompanies the exhibition and offers another way to encounter the project beyond the physical gallery. It also provides a space for the project to continue receiving stories from single fathers.
Digital submissions are currently open to single fathers here. Selected submissions may be included in the online presentation of dadda?
Presented at the Arsenio L. Canlas Gallery at The Find Lab, dadda? brings together photography, film, sound, and installation in a physical environment created for viewers to move through and encounter firsthand.
